Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest heritage festival. It celebrates our fantastic history, architecture and culture; offering people the chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences.
The event takes place each September and all venues are free to explore during the times shown in the programme thanks to the efforts of volunteers who open them.
Deal and Walmer Heritage Open Days are organised by the Addelam History Research Group and The Deal Society in conjunction with the Deal and Walmer Town Councils.
The event is organised by a very small team and we really need some more help in coordinating it. If you would like to find out more, please see our Help Us page.
